Team RWB (Red, White and Blue) Shreveport-Bossier will be hosting its 2nd Annual 9/11 Moving Tribute on September 11, 2014 from Sunrise (6:15am) to Sunset (7:30 pm).
9-11-01. It's the day we said we'd never forget! But let's do more than just remember. Let's honor those lives who were lost, their loved ones, and the survivors of this incredible tragedy by taking part in the 9-11 Remembrance Walk in Bossier City.
In this incredibly inspiring video the song asks the question, "Where were you on that September day?" And most of us require absolutely no thought in answering the question.
It's hard to believe that it's been 12 years since the horrible events of 9/11/2001, and yet, most of us remember every tiny detail of where we were and exactly what was happening as we watched the planes flying into the World Trade Center Towers, into the Pentagon and into the field in Pennsylvania.
Every year on September 11, Americans pause to reflect on the tragic 2001 terrorist attacks that changed the country forever. In 2012, as the U.S. reflects on the 11th anniversary of the 9/11 attack in New York City, one man will be resting his voice after belting out the words to 'God Bless the USA' 911 times. That's right: A Utah resident has attempted to sing Lee Greenwood's hit song 911 times
The question "Where were you when the planes hit?" has become synonymous with the World Trade Center attack on September 11, 2001. It's a way to share stories from that fateful day. It's how we comfort each other in the days, months and years since the tragic event. It's how we remember.
The staff at Townsquare Media Shreveport remember those innocent people who lost their lives on 9/11
Bossier City will remember those who lost their lives on 9/11. The city is holding a public memorial ceremony that marks the 11th anniversary of the deadly terror attacks.
10 years ago tomorrow, millions of Americans will reflect on the tragedy that was 9-11-01 and collectively we will grieve. At the same time we'll rejoice that our wonderful country not only survived, but has taken steps to reassure its citizens that terrorist behavior will not be tolerated or repeated.
As Kiss Country continues to reflect on one of the worst days in American History, we are reminded that an act of cowardice could never destroy the fiber that IS America. Within hours of the attacks on the World Trade Center September 11, 2001, George Bush said, "The resolve of our great nation is being tested. Make no mistake, we will show the world that we will pass this test!"

The memories of that dreadful day are as clear as if it were yesterday. We promised as a country to "NEVER FORGET" and to be perfectly honest, I don't think we could forget even if we wanted to. Hopefully we learned something from that devastation and will never allow it to repeat. If you'd like to share your memory just shoot me an email at garymccoy@townsquaremedia.com.
We will NEVER forget! Remember how popular that was in the months just after September 11, 2001? Remember all the yellow ribbons and the rampant American pride? With the 10th anniversary of this event coming this Sunday, we pause to reflect on those memories every day with stories from Kiss Country Staffers and Listeners. If you'd like to share your memory of that day, just email garymccoy@to
