Shreveport Man Arrested For Rape and Battery of Pregnant Woman

On June 16th, 2023, around 10:40 p.m. Shreveport Police Officers were contacted in reference to an incident that occurred in the 400 block of Clyde Fant Memorial Parkway. Police were called by a concerned friend of the victim who stated that a male was holding the victim in a hotel room and refusing to let her leave.

Officers arrived at the room and took Joshua Carroll (6-20-95) into custody. The victim was transported to a local area hospital and is expected to recover. Patrol Officers then contacted Shreveport Police Sex Crimes Detectives who responded to the scene. After a thorough investigation, Carroll was arrested and charged with First Degree Rape and Battery of a Pregnant dating partner.

All persons are innocent until proven guilty.
