On the flip-side of the coin, there's Shreveport, coming in at a startling fifth place unhealthy city in America. Not only is Shreveport the only Louisiana city in the Top 5, the next unhealthiest city is Baton Rouge which finished as the 20th unhealthiest city in America.

The only cities determined to be unhealthier than Shreveport were:

  1. Brownsville, Texas
  2. Gulfport, Mississippi
  3. Laredo, Texas
  4. Columbus, Georgia

What appears to put such a negative impact on Shreveport's health is the food we eat, which was ranked as the second unhealthiest in the country and the physical fitness of Shreveport which was determined to be the seventh worst in the country.
