Restaurants You Wish Would Come To Shreveport

It seems like Youree Drive is blowing up with new eateries: Ghengis Grill, Panda Express, Jersey Mike's, Lenny's Sub Shop--just to name a few! Is there a restaurant that you love and really, really wish they would open up shop here in the Shreveport area? Oh, I have a couple for sure to put on the list!

You could probably eat out every night for two weeks in Shreveport at a new location all within one mile of each other. I hear the next new place to open will be Dunkin' Donuts scheduled to open Spring 2012.

Here is my short list of favorites that I would love to see open up shop in Kiss Country:

Ninfa's - It's all about the Queso's: Melted Monterey Jack Cheese Casserole served with Pico de Gallo and Sautéed Onions, Rolled in Fresh Flour Tortillas at Your Table! Yep, it's listed under appetizer and it's the only thing I have ever or will ever order from this Baton Rouge establishment. They also have locations in Texas.

Acme Oyster House - The Acme Special Poboy was my go-to comfort food during my college days in New Orleans. It is a sloppy, messy, mass of stick to your ribs goodness piled high with roast that is falling apart and turkey and ham and cheese. It is hot, heavy and messy. . . . just like me.

BJ's Restaurant & Brewhouse - If you head to Dallas stop by this fun place for the best handmade pizza EVER!! And of course with a name like that you can also have just about any type of beer that you can imagine. My favorite drink at BJ's is the raspberry lemon drop martini, sweet and tart. . . Mmmmmm!
