Help support the Salvation Army this Saturday at Purses with a Purpose from 10am – 1pm at Events on the Red. This is your chance to get great designer bags for pennies on the dollar and it’s all for a good cause! Admission is $10 in advance, $15 at the door.
Help to support Holy Angels at their 4th Annual Fishing for Angels Fishing Tournament. There will also be a family fun day at Red River South Marina and Resort from 1-5pm Saturday. Cost for entry in the tournament is $200 for a two man team.
See Kansas live this Friday at Shreveport’s Municipal Auditorium on their Leftoverture 40th Anniversary Tour. Doors open at 7pm, show at 8pm. Tickets start at $32.
The 50 Summers of Love tour comes to Bossier City’s Horseshoe Casino Riverdome this Friday featuring Micky Dolenz of The Monkees and Mark Lindsay, former lead singer of Paul Revere & the Raiders.
Join the Krewe of Elders Friday starting at 6:3pm for their crowning of their 20th royal court at VWF Post 4588 in Bossier City. The theme is ‘South of the Border’ and will feature live music from the Backbeat Boogie Band, a silent auction, a booze wagon raffle and Tex-Mex food. BYOB
Join the Krewe of Demeter as they crown their third royal court Saturday night in Mansfield at 6pm at the Clista A Calhoun Center. The theme is ‘Down on the Bayou’ and tickets are $45.
It’ll be totally tubular with the legendary Molly Ringwalds take the stage Friday night at Margaritaville Resort Casino. Show is at 8pm for this general admission 21+ event.
Horse lover will have a blast at the Double Rainbow Summer Hunter/Jumper Horse Show this Saturday and Sunday. Double Rainbow Farm is located at the end of Adner Road in Haughton, LA.
Join the Independence Bowl Foundation for Kickoff K’s this Saturday from 7 – 10am at Betty Virginia Park in Shreveport. Race day registration is $30 and there is a 5K and a 10K option.
Tee off this Sunday at Northwood Hills Golf Club for a four person scramble starting at 10:30am. Sign in starts at 10am. It’s $80 per player and $5 per mulligan.
