Country music has scores of iconic artists like Garth, George Strait, Dolly, Hank Jr., Merle, Tim McGraw and Alabama just to name a few.  But often overlooked are those iconic songs that embody what is country music.

And one of the most iconic of those songs is "Looking For Love" from Johnny Lee.  One of the biggest songs released on the Urban Cowboy soundtrack, it was Johnny Lee's first gold record, spending three weeks at the top of the Billboard Country Music Charts and peaking at at number two on the Pop Music Charts.

It's interesting to note this Pop Music Charting in light of all the discussion these days about "songs that aren't country" and this one is considered one of the Top 100 Best Country Songs of All Time, yet, hit the "Pop" charts.

Along with Looking For Love, Lee went on to record a string of Top Ten hits including:  "One In A Million" - "Bet Your Heart On Me" - "Cherokee Fiddle," "Sounds Like Love," - "Hey Bartender" -  "You Could've Heard a Heart Break" and many more.

Well, Johnny Lee and his "Urban Cowboy Band" are headed back to The Stage at Silverstar in Bossier City this Friday night.

Doors will open at 7:00 pm for those 21 and over.  Get tickets while they last at TheStageBossier.com or at the door at The Stage at Silverstar.
