If I could do one thing in the world without the worry of money or time I would want to help out as many animals I can. I often dream of one day having a cat sanctuary or a puppy haven for animals that don't have homes. Realistically I don't have the money nor the land to make that possible. Nonetheless, it is still a dream I wish I could make a reality one day.

However, there is a way that you can help out critters right here in our area. Thanks to the Krewe of Barkus and Meoux, you can donate to several locations around town to help the less fortunate pets that will go neglected without your help.

They are asking for dry and wet food for cats and dogs, treats, blankets, kennels. They are also asking for pet clothes and flea collars. Check out their flyer below to get a full list of supplies needed.

The best way to donate these items will be at these designated locations:

  • UPS store on 1214 Shreveport-Barskdale Blvd in Shreveport
  • Nabors Insurance on 7951 Fern Ave in Shreveport
  • Little House of Groom on 112 Rosemont Place in Bossier City

They will be accepting donations until December 19th. They need your help to make sure all less fortunate pets are taken care of.
