Though scores of industry insiders speculate that George Strait's "The Cowboy Rides Away Tour" doesn't mean he's ending his career, it's clear to many that it's certainly the end of his "touring" days.

Sure he'll play the occasional concert, he'll make appearances at record industry parties and you might even see him grace the television from awards shows, but if I were placing a Las Vegas bet right now, it would be that last night was his last ever appearance in Shreveport/Bossier City.  But wow, what a way to go out!

Jason Aldean opened the night and reminded us all that two years in a row now, he's started his tour in Bossier City at the Centurylink Center.  We're hoping maybe that's a trend he'll maintain for years!

During the short intermission after Jason's performance, you could feel the tension building from the thousands of awaiting fans!  It was time!

And from the moment that George hit the stage until he "Rode Away", it was certainly an awesome experience for the sold out audience to watch as he took us from "The Fireman" to "Give It Away."  And during that ride, George showed us just how appreciative he is and exactly why why he's The KING as brought a local wounded Veteran and his wife on stage and gave them a FREE HOME and FREE GROCERIES for a year!

Speaking for all of us true country fans, George, thanks for the memories!
