Duck Dynasty's Robertson family is no stranger to being criticized for making remarks some folks don't like. But are Willie, Si and Phil being censored by the show's producers for cusses they aren't actually saying?

Late night host Jimmy Kimmel pointed out the fake bleep issue, which dates back to early 2013, on Jimmy Kimmel Live Tuesday night (Oct. 8), joking that ducks don't like the fake quacks sounded by the duck calls that helped the Robertson clan build an empire.

Of course, Kimmel also has a little experience with unnecessary censorship, albeit for purely comical effect.

Earlier this year, Phil Robertson discussed the fake bleeping, saying it was being added in the editing room. Surprise: he isn't a big fan of the practice.

"If we're not using profanity, why make it look like we're using profanity," asked the Robertson family patriarch. "What is the point? Why don't you just run it and say what we say?"
