Yep...Daylight "Saving" Time is over this weekend.  And before you start making the accusation that this old redneck is saying it wrong, check the origin of Daylight Saving Time and you'll see it's "Saving" (singular) not "Savings" like most of us would say.  And if you're wondering what I meant by Daylight Saving Time is "over"...here's the scoop.  Most of the United States begins Daylight Saving Time at 2:00 a.m. on the second Sunday in March and reverts to standard time on the first Sunday in November.  So, this weekend we're actually going back to "normal" or "standard" time.  Something I just learned was the idea for this whole process of moving the clock backwards and forwards isn't anything new.  It was actually the idea of Benjamin Franklin and European countries actually started using the concept a couple years before it was adopted in the U.S. in 1918.  The best idea to keep you on time, is to set your clock BACK one hour before you go to bed Saturday night. Remember the old adage "Spring Forward, Fall Back".  I guess my biggest question is...what are we "saving" daylight for?  Let's spend it!  Every single second of it.  I mean, our kids will just squander it, so let's blow it now while we're young enough to enjoy it.
