High School football returns next Friday night, August 25 with the Bossier City Lions Club 70th Annual High School Football Jamboree!

According to the Bossier Lions Club Facebook page, once again, all six Bossier Parish High School football teams will make appearances in this annual event.

The Jamboree Is Incredibly Important To The Bossier Lions Club

This is the largest fundraiser of the year for the Bossier Lions Club, who do so many incredible things with the funds including:

  • Award a college scholarship to a student from each Bossier Parish school
  • Send special needs children to the Louisiana Lions Camp in Leesville, La. at no charge
  • Fund free eye exams and glasses for school children who can't afford them

There are so many other things they do, but you can see just how many will benefit from this Friday night's games.

Gates will open at 4:30 pm with pre-game festivities slated to start at 5:15 pm.

It will be once again held at Airline High School and will feature three games, each only two quarters long, beginning at 5:45 pm.

The first pairing will be Airline and Haughton kicking off at 5:45 pm.  Following that game it's Bossier and Plain Dealing squaring off at approximately 7:15 pm and the nightcap between Benton and Parkway will kick off around 8:45 pm

Bands, dance lines and cheerleaders will also be featured.
