Woman Arrested Overnight For Shooting On Hardy Street In Shreveport
The Shreveport Police Department have announced the arrest of a 29-year-old woman for her involvement in an overnight shooting.
Shreveport Police were called to the 3400 block of Hardy Street on Wednesday night just after 9pm. When they arrived at the scene, officers located a male victim suffering from a single gunshot wound. The victim had been shot once in the leg. He was taken to a local hospital with a non-life threatening injury.
From there, investigators with the Shreveport Police Violent Crimes Unit continued to work the scene. Detectives learned the victim had been in a verbal altercation prior to the shooting. They believe the suspect got into an argument with the victim, left the scene, and returned with a gun to shoot the victim.
After their preliminary investigation, Shreveport Police took Skyler Thomas in for questioning. Following interviews with Thomas, Shreveport Police arrested her and charged her with one count of 2nd Degree Aggravated Battery. She was booked into the Shreveport City Jail.
