The low temperatures on Friday night could dip into the 20's for parts of the ArkLaTex. The NWS says some parts of the region could see winter precipitation. Snowfall amounts up to 1 inch is possible in the area near McCurtain County, Oklahoma. Other areas could see a dusting of snow.

This springtime winter storm is expected to impact parts of the Tennessee/Ohio Valleys through the interior Eastern US late today through Saturday. Heavy rainfall and possibly some severe thunderstorms could impact that areas that don't see temps dip below freezing.

One of the regions bracing for this storm system is the Cascades and Northern Rocky Mountain areas. They are getting heavy snowfall this weekend.

But this massive storm system is expected to also bring snow to areas from the Southern Plains all the way to Wisconsin.

Travelers could be facing big time delays. This snowfall combined with gusty winds are expected to reduce visibility and make for difficult to hazardous driving conditions.

What Area Will See the Most Snow?

The NWS says the greatest snow accumulations are expected across parts of the Northeast not along the coastline. Some communities could see as much as 12 inches of snow. This will result in power outages and dangerous conditions.

This cold air will spread across the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic in the wake of this storm system with lows likely to be below freezing along the Gulf Coast and into northern Florida Sunday morning.

To the east of Louisiana, the NWS says the Florida panhandle could see heavy rains leading to flash flooding through Friday night and into Saturday morning.
