Where & When Can You See Texas Super-Group The Panhandlers On Stage?
Josh Abbott, William Clark Green, John Baumann, and Cleto Cordero are The Panhandlers. But they're also individuals with their own bands and careers to run. So, once the Texas super-group releases their new self-titled album will they ever be able to work out any sort of concert schedule that will allow them to sing their collective songs together on stage?
Earlier this month Green announced his annual Cotton Fest in Lubbock, you may have noticed The Panhandlers are on that bill for May 21st. Aside from that appearance, for now at least, collaborative shows will be few and far between -- but there will definitely be some.
So far we know that they will be at Gruene Hall on March 19th, and Larry Joe Taylor Fest on April 21st. Your best bet is keep an eye out for festivals where more than one of their bands are on the bill, those would be convenient times for the Texas super-group to perform together. And who knows, perhaps a tour is in the work for the end of the year. December is always a great time for lead singers to team up on acoustic runs.
Their self-titled debut album, produced by Bruce Robison, will be out on March 6th. The lead single “No Handle” is out to Texas radio now. Be listening for it Saturday nights on Radio Texas, LIVE! and 24/7 through your free Radio Texas, LIVE! app. Download the app now on IOS here or ANDROID here.
