Yesterday, I was talking to a friend who said for them to be able to get a good night's sleep they have the air conditioner set to 70°, the ceiling fan on, an oscillating fan on by the bed, and their window A/C unit set to 65°. While I like to sleep cool, that seems a little extreme to me!

Sleep is one of the most important things we can do for our bodies other than staying hydrated. Proper sleep affects everything from your body's brain function to mental health and even the healing and repair of your heart and blood vessels. Chronic lack of sleep can lead to increased risks when it comes to heart disease, diabetes, kidney disease, high blood pressure, and stroke.

So, that begs the question, what do we need as individuals to get a good night's sleep? I've heard that you need to shut down your devices an hour before bed to help calm your mind. But, I like to read myself to sleep and I use a Kindle. Clearly, you also need the perfect temperature as well as evidenced by your answers!

Albert Houston says he relies on a fan and Nyquil. The majority of women said that they need to turn the A/C down to Arctic temperatures and also need a ceiling fan and/or box/pedestal fan! Several, like myself, say they need their pups in the bed to cuddle with. When it comes to noise, a lot of women also said they couldn't sleep without the sound from their husband's CPAP machine!

What can't you sleep without? Check out the answers below and give me a follow!
