I-20 runs across the entirety of the northern part of Louisiana and it would appear there's not hardly any of it that's not involved in some type of construction at this time.

In the event you were unaware, there are some night-time delays and closures in the western part of Shreveport as DOTD is doing some repairs on the east bound side of I-20 near Pines Road.

Of course, the biggest issue is the multi-year I-20 reconstruction project through most of Bossier City and all the associated entrance and exit ramp closures at I-20 in that area.

And now, according to the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development, motorists are advised that tomorrow, Thursday, June 20 and Friday, June 21, there will be brief intermittent rolling road blocks on I-20 eastbound and westbound between Goodwill Road and US 371 (Dixie Inn) in Webster Parish.

These intermittent rolling road blocks are anticipated to begin at approximately 10:00 am both days, and are necessary to allow DOTD crews to remove certain trees along the right-of-way to improve safety.

Disruption to traffic is expected to be minimal, but motorists are advised to be aware of the presence of crews and equipment while this work is underway.

As with all DOTD projects, this work will be done weather permitting, so inclement weather could delay, prolong or modify the expected times/days for this issue.

DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.

Area residents should exercise caution when driving, walking, or biking near an active construction zone.
