In Texas, the issue of prostitution and human trafficking is a growing problem, and massage parlors have become a significant front for these illicit activities.

The Shreveport Police Department conducted an operation on Friday August 19th, 2022, to combat Human Trafficking in our area.

On January 4th, 2022 members of the Shreveport Police Office of Special Investigations arrested two people for prostitution by massage

Rep. Mandie Landry’s proposal to decriminalize prostitution across the state ran out of steam.

The Louisiana Board of Massage is disputing some of the claims by saying that they already have policies in place to combat this type of behavior.

Critics say that the move would allow criminals like pimps and human traffickers to continue to victimize young girls unchecked.

Although he reportedly resisted arrest, sheriff's deputies were able to subdue and arrest Samuels relatively quickly.

The Shreveport Police Department's Vice Unit teamed up with the FBI's Human Trafficking Task Force and the Alcohol Tobacco Commission to conduct a two day undercover operations.
