Pistol Annies

Ashley Monroe of the Pistol Annies and her Major League Baseball pitcher fiance John Danks were married on Thursday (Oct. 24).

The Pistol Annies have canceled all concerts and appearances through June, leaving an empty calendar at the trio's official website.

Fans everywhere are looking forward to the 2013 CMT Music Awards, which are coming up in June. The first country music awards show to let fans vote for their favorites, the yearly event also features live performances by some of country's biggest artists -- and this year is no exception.

What a week for the Pistol Annies. They released their sophomore album 'Annie Up' and celebrated by performing 'Hush Hush' on the 'Today' show. They also got the good news that their debut, the 2011-released 'Hell on Heels,' was certified Gold, which means it moved 500,000 copies!

The Pistol Annies are making the TV rounds to promote their new CD “Annie Up”. While on the “Today Show” yesterday they joked with host Matt Lauer about how they handle stress. Not surprisingly they like to drink. While on the show they broke into song,

Strong production keeps 'Annie Up' -- the new album from Pistol Annies -- from being something their debut effort certainly was not: boring. The women thrive among thick, bluesy guitars that moan and wail throughout the 12 cuts. It's a throwback sound that fits the trio as well as the daring outfits they've become known for wearing.

Plenty of reasons to celebrate this weekend.  Sunday is Earth Day.  Saturday is National Record Store Day - which will coincide with the release of "Hell on Heels" by the Pistol Annies on vinyl.  Not to mention...

Pistol Annies — comprised of Ashley Monroe, Angaleena Presley and Miranda Lambert — helped mix up the typicality’s of the 2011 American Country Awards by performing their debut single, ‘Hell on Heels.’

Turns out those Pistol Annies are pretty good shots — after setting their sights on chart domination, they delivered with one of the year’s most impressive debuts. The trio’s first album, ‘Hell on Heels,’ emerged on top of Billboard’s Country Album charts in its first week, moving enough units to also earn a number five debut on the overall Top 200.
