A series of earthquakes and aftershocks — some felt as far away as Wisconsin — shook Oklahoma this weekend, startling people more accustomed to tornadoes than temblors. Early Saturday, a magnitude 4.7 earthquake affected areas from Texas to Missouri, followed by a 5.6 quake later that night — Oklahoma’s strongest in history — and more than 10 aftershocks.

While we all have our weekend game faces on and Alabama on our minds-- now is a great time to help out those affected by the April tornadoes that ripped a path through the Tuscaloosa area.  The United Way of Northwest Louisiana is collecting a few specific new items for both adults and children.

NASA has known for a while their satellite was falling to Earth.  It's just coming quicker than they thought.  It's looking like it will crash sometime between this Thursday and Sunday.
