Country music is as American as football / apple pie / insert-any-other-cliche-phrase-here, so it makes sense that, from time to time, the genre's artists would don some patriotic clothing.
Hundreds gathered in Bossier City on the 4th of July, but not to watch fireworks or listen to music. Instead, it was to show support for Sheriff Julian Whittington, whose pro-religious freedom stance ended up costing the Bossier Parish's Young Marines program tens of thousands of dollars in federal funding.
