The hope is to have the property cleared before the Radiance Technologies Independence Bowl game on December 28th.

Demolition was set to resume after the fair left town. But Shreveport Mayor Tom Arceneaux told KEEL News Friday morning that he's completely canceled the demolition contract with the current company.

The decision was made by the city in early April of 2022 that Fair Grounds Field would be demolished.
