Survive2Drive 2026 Winner: Pete Wins New Dodge Hornet at Landers
After eight grueling days of living in a car, the tension at Landers in Bossier was thick enough to cut with a knife. What started as a crowded field of hopefuls whittled down to the final two: Pete and the woman her fans affectionately dubbed "Toya the Destroya."
It has been an emotional rollercoaster of a week. While some contestants brought the noise, Shantoya took a different tactical approach. She was one of the quietest participants throughout the eight-day endurance test, but that calm demeanor quickly turned her into a massive crowd favorite.
On the other side of the vehicle sat Pete, who had built up a powerhouse of support from fans following every hour of the livestream.
By Monday evening, the Survive2Drive marathon reached its messy, high-stakes conclusion. A crowd of dedicated fans, some who hadn't missed a minute of the action, gathered at Landers to witness the final showdown. And Landers didn't make it easy.
The challenge? A literal "dirty" search. The bed of a massive RAM truck was filled to the brim with a mixture of dirt and cow manure. Buried deep within that mess were two tiny keys capable of opening a lockbox. Inside that lockbox? The keys to a brand-new Dodge Hornet.
The energy was electric as Pete and Shantoya dove into the muck. It was a test of speed, grit, and a little bit of luck. After a frantic search through the filth, Pete emerged victorious. He managed to snag the key, unlock the box, and officially claim the title.
Pete didn't just win a contest; he drove off in a sleek new Dodge Hornet. Of course, after the final challenge, that Hornet is going to need some serious love.
The team at Landers is currently giving it a world-class detailing, because let’s be honest, that "new car smell" has been temporarily replaced by the scent of a farm!
A massive thank you goes out to the entire Landers crew for putting on such an engaging, heart-pounding event for our community. The city was hooked from day one, and if you listen closely to the streets of Shreveport-Bossier, "we the people" are already begging: Please, bring back Survive2Drive for 2027!
