Calling all house-hunting movie buffs: If you recognize the source of this line – "The only thing that separates us from the animals is our ability to accessorize" – and appreciate Southern architecture, get your bids ready. The historic Natchitoches' Cook-Taylor House where the all-star 1989 movie Steel Magnolias was filmed is being placed on the auction block Saturday Oct. 26, along with all the antiques and furnishings inside.

Built in 1840, the movie stomping ground of Shirley MacLaine, Sally Field, Olympia Dukakis, Daryl Hannah and Julia Roberts was used as a hospital during the Civil War and recently operated as a bed-and-breakfast. Like the women in the movie, it epitomizes Southern character.

The historic home located at 320 Jefferson St was on the market last year with a price tag ranging from $949,000 to $1.175 million. According to TopTenRealEstateDeals.com the home features a brick-columned front porch and more than 5,900 sq. ft. of living space, including six bedrooms, six baths, a grand staircase, original wooden floors and several fireplaces. A separate three-car garage, with its own 800-sq. ft. guest apartment, also stands on the lush, shrubbery-filled grounds, along with a patio, pool and portico.  You can see more photo's here
