We're thinking its going to be really tough to fish the Red River Saturday, especially if you're anywhere near the Red River South Marina.  The smell alone is probably going to draw hundreds of fisherman from their boats.  In hopes of making this an annual event, organizers of the Smokin' on the Red BBQ Cook Off aren't holding anything back. 

This IBCA (International Barbeque Cookers Association) sanctioned state championship BBQ cook-off is this Saturday, February 23, and will be awarding $10,000 in cash & prizes and will attract some of the biggest names in the barbeque business.

Gary McCoy has been asked to judge the competition which will feature 4 categories including Chicken, Pork Spare Ribs, Pulled Pork and Brisket.  The event at Red River South Marina and Resort in South Bossier is open to the from 10 am - 6 pm and will feature live entertainment by the Cole Vosbury Trio.
