Smells Like You’ve Got A Cat…Or 110 Cats

In a case of good intentions gone bad, police animal services officers have removed 110 cats from a Los Angeles-area home.

Members of the Howe family were allegedly running a non-profit unlicensed cat rescue organization out of their 900-square-foot house, which also served as the primary residence for seven human beings.

According to Mark Howe, it was a "bad situation" that arose when finding new homes for the orphaned cats proved more difficult than the Howe family thought it would be.

The inevitable stench of having so many living things under one roof was what prompted neighbors to call the authorities.

The two young children who had been living in the home were placed in the care of other family members, and so far 70 of the cats have either been adopted or sent to other rescue organizations.
