It was about 3:45 this morning as I headed into work. Travelling west on I-220 I was just beyond the Lakeshore Drive exit when I saw the dreaded flashing lights ahead of me.

I quickly exited onto Jefferson-Paige to avoid what I thought was an accident, but my curiosity got the best of me and I just had to find out exactly what was going on.

As I surfed online, it only took a few clicks to discover on the KTBS website just what had happened and it's somewhat of a mystery.

Apparently police in Bossier City attempted to stop a motorcyclist in the wee hours of this (Wednesday) morning. Their attempt was futile as the motorcyclist continued to make his way west and according to what KTBS discovered from investigators, a high speed chase ensued westward on I-220 and ultimately ended at approximately 2:00 am in Shreveport at the intersection of I-220 and I-20.

It was at this point the driver abandoned the motorcycle and raced off on foot.

Police immediately initiated a search which included the use of a drone, but as of this writing, the suspect has yet to be located.

Shreveport Police urge residents in that area to be on the lookout and you spot anything suspicious, immediately contact the Shreveport Police or dial 911.
