SHREVEPORT, LA-   On June 18th, 2023, around 9:45 a.m. Shreveport Police Department Patrol officers were contacted in reference to a report of domestic trouble in the 1900 block of Patzman Street.

The responding officers determined that the victim had been involved in a domestic dispute when Dondre Bivens (7-27-94) struck the victim in the face with a handgun. The victim suffered injuries to the face but is expected to recover.

Further investigation led officers to the arrest of Bivens. Bivens refused to submit to a lawful arrest and was subsequently restrained. Bivens was arrested for one count of Domestic Abuse Battery with Child Endangerment, one count of Illegal Carrying of Weapons, one count of resisting an officer, and one count of Aggravated Battery.

Shreveport Police would like to encourage those who are victims of Domestic Violence to seek assistance. There are many options that exist to help. Contact SPD for more details.

All suspects are innocent until proven guilty.

The following mugshots are individuals who were booked to the Caddo Correctional Center through the dates of 5/14-5/19/23 for crimes of a violent or sexual nature. Some of these individuals have yet to stand trial, and are considered innocent until proven guilty.
