Season 17 of Dancing with the Stars Cast Revealed

ABC revealed the official cast of the 17th season of "Dancing with the Stars" on "Good Morning America" yesterday. The rumors turned out to be true so it was no real shock when Valerie Harper, Snooki, Elizabeth Berkley and Jack Osbourne were announced. The real shocker came when Bill Engvall’s name was announced. Really?

The real story however is 74-year-old Valerie Harper. The actress has terminal brain cancer and was told at the beginning of the year that she only had 3-6 months to live. Valerie's doctor has said she's "close to a remission," but her cancer is incurable. She tells "People" magazine, quote, "I feel much better. And my brain scans are looking better too. Valerie adds, quote, "When [the producers] asked [me to do the show], I thought, 'Why would I say no?' When life asks you to dance, you just have to dance." The new season of “Dancing with The Stars” kicks off Monday Sept 16th.
