With all of the retail stores closing lately, it's getting harder and harder to make a day out of shopping in the SBC.  Now you can add Rue 21 to that list.  According to TownTalk, Rue 21 is closing 400 stores nationwide and 15 in Louisiana.  What does that mean for your shopping?  It means that both Rue 21 stores in Shreveport will be shutting down, but you will still have one on the Boardwalk in Bossier city.

As usual, this will be bad news for the employees who will have to hit the job trail soon.  No date for the store closing is mentioned on the store's website yet.  As far as the consumer goes, the chain did leave this message on their website for the Shreveport stores:

It’s true – we are closing this store. It was a difficult but necessary decision. Stop by and check out the deals before it’s too late. But the good news is we still have hundreds of locations across the country, and our website rue21.com, open for business!"

If you're looking for a silver lining - there will most likely be an awesome sale at the soon-to-be-closed locations soon!
