In an alert from the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development, we've been advised that this work will bring on some traffic issues, but thankfully they will be short-lived.

DOTD writes that next Tuesday, March 3rd and Wednesday, March 4, there will be alternating lane closures on LA 1 southbound at the Port of Caddo-Bossier railroad crossing in south Caddo Parish.

These lane closures are scheduled to take place from approximately 9:00 am to 3:00 pm both days, and are necessary to allow the RR company to perform repairs to the crossing at this location.

This RR crossing is located approximately 3.8 miles south of the intersection with LA 523 (Flournoy Lucas Rd). in Shreveport.

As with all projects of this nature, work will be performed "Weather Permitting" so inclement weather could delay, extend or alter in other ways the scheduled work day/hours.
