Prescott, Arkansas Teacher Arrested, Accused of Sexual Contact With 15-Year-Old

Leona Nivens of Prescott, Arkansas, has been arrested following accusations of sexual conduct with a 15-year-old student.

Early this morning, an arrest was made after a joint investigation by the Prescott Police Department and the Arkansas State Police Crimes Against Children Division.

Nivens, who is 33 years old, was taken into custody after investigators found enough evidence against her to warrant the arrest. They believe she had "improper sexual contact" with a 15-year-old student at Prescott High School.

At the time of this writing, it isn't completely clear if Nivens is still behind bars, and the Prescott School District has decided to place her on administrative leave, until the full investigation has concluded.
