Kiss Country has a history with Pat Green for nearly two decades now.  Being one of the first radio stations outside of Texas to embrace and play his music, he's always been good to us.  And this morning was no different as Pat dropped everything to hang out with us for a few minutes.

We reminisced about the time he spent time with several of our listeners here in the backyard of Kiss Country playing music and grilling hamburgers.  He quipped "when it comes to food, I'm pretty handy."

Of course Pat's show tonight at the Horseshoe Riverdome is a sell-out and those lucky enough to have tickets are gonna get the full treatment.  Pat says, "I like to put together a show I'd like to see."  He's preparing for the release of his new album "Home" on August 14 and we'll be among the first to hear some of those new songs.

We even talked with him about the super load being transported through our neck of the woods this weekend and when we asked what he thought might be in the box, he joked, "well, if it's what I think it is, we're all gonna have fun."
