As you can tell in the illustration above, this bridge is located just east of the intersection of LA 530 with LA 538 and is just north of the Town of Oil City.

According to the DOTD, this bridge closure is scheduled to take place until Friday, June 6, and is necessary to allow DOTD crews to perform repairs to the bridge pilings in order to ensure the bridge remains in service to the traveling public.

DOTD goes on to state that this is a total road closure at this specified location and all vehicles will need to find an alternate route.

Of course, this work will be done weather permitting, so inclement weather could delay, extend or alter in other ways the scheduled work days/hours for the project.

DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment. Remember to leave plenty of room between you and the vehicle in front of you, and never drive while distracted or impaired.

Area residents should exercise caution when driving, walking, or biking near an active construction zone.

Louisiana's 21 Most Wanted Criminals

While some of these have been missing for over 50 years and are likely deceased, many have escaped prison in the past 10 years and could likely still be in Louisiana so keep your eyes peeled and should you spot one of these criminals, immediately contact police.
