Multi-car Accident Totally Stops Traffic On I-220 in Shreveport

Around 7:30 this morning, Wednesday, December 18, a multi-car accident on I-220 in Shreveport brought traffic in the area to its knees.

On I-220 westbound just west of the I-49 northbound exit ramp, at least two and as many as four vehicles were involved in the accident causing some motorists to be delayed for longer than an hour.

Matt, one of the motorists attempting to navigate through the area of the accident, was unsure of the exact cause of the accident, but his hour-long attempt to move through, was more than enough for him to appreciate the severity of the accident and the length of time it will take for clean up.

At the time of this writing, 9:48 am on Wednesday, December 18, Shreveport Police are reporting there is only one officer on the scene so hopefully the area will soon be clear.
