The last time any of the two major multi-state lottery games, Mega Millions and Powerball, had a jackpot winner was in April of this year. Since that time the top prize in both games has been growing by leaps and bounds every week. In fact, based on our unscientific formula, both Mega Millions and Powerball should be getting a jackpot winner by this time next week.

Last night those who play the Mega Millions game were hoping to match the numbers needed to claim the game's top prize of $343 million dollars. Here's how the drawing for Tuesday, June 27, 2023, went down last night.

The numbers that were drawn, as confirmed by the Mega Millions website:

08   34   35   41   52   Mega Ball 12  Megaplier x4

There were no tickets sold across the Mega Millions footprint that matched the numbers needed to claim the annuitized top prize of $343 million, by the way, the cash option for last night was $180.3 million, no tickets won that either.

There was a big-money winner sold in Louisiana though. The Louisiana ticket was one of 22 tickets sold throughout the nation that matched four of the white ball numbers and the Mega Ball. Across the country five tickets that had that combination opted-in on the Megaplier so their top prize was actually $40,000 and not $10,000 which is the prize for that combo without the Megaplier.

The Louisiana Lottery has confirmed that $10,000 winner's point of purchase. It was sold at Fuelstar Paris Station in Chalmette Louisiana. The person who has that ticket will want to sign the back of it and take it to the nearest Louisiana Lottery office so they can collect their prize.

We should also note that the Texas Lottery has confirmed a $10,000 winner from that state in last night's Mega Millions drawing. We do not have the point of purchase information for that winning ticket right now.

Speaking of prizes there are two Mega Millions winners in Louisiana that will expire in less than a week. One is a $10,000 winner that was sold in Houma for the January 3rd drawing. The other will expire in seven days. It is also a $10,000 Mega Millions winner that was sold for the January 6th drawing. That ticket was purchased in New Orleans.

Meanwhile, tonight's Powerball Jackpot is an estimated annuitized $462 million dollars or a cash option of $242 million. That drawing is set for 10 pm tonight. By rule, ticket sales must cease at least one hour before the actual drawing so if you want to play, get your tickets purchased before 9 pm.

Also, here's our reminder that not all lottery tickets are winners, most are not. If you can't afford to lose the money then you can't afford to play. If you or someone you know has an issue with gambling help is available. Call 1-877-770-STOP (7867) for a free referral to confidential counseling. Good luck and remember sometimes not playing makes you the biggest winner of all.

The largest NASCAR driver home includes an indoor aquarium and more than 19,000 square feet of living on 415 acres. The No. 10 home on this list of the 10 most expensive is hardly a postage stamp by comparison.

Taste of Country recently compiled the priciest NASCAR driver homes, and while a few famous names make the list, a few not-quite-as-famous names do, too. Dale Jr., Denny Hamlin, Danica Patrick and the Busch brothers are a few of the drivers to look for on this list of mega-mansions. See pictures of all 10 and a full home tour of the No. 1 house.
