Meet LSU Legends At Ark-La-Tex Sports Card Show In Bossier
On Saturday, Bossier City will host a sports collectors paradise. The Ark-La-Tex Sports Card Show will be taking place at the Bossier Civic Center from 10:00am - 5:00pm. One of the most exciting parts of the event, is that admission is FREE.
That's right, you can come and see and shop from tons of signed memorabilia, rookie cards, cut signatures, hobby boxes, and more all for free. So if you have a sports fan in your life, this is the kind of stop you need to make on Saturday.
But to make a great event even better, you can get signatures during the show from LSU legends...and a soon-to-be LSU superstar.
The show will offer your chance to meet LSU National Champion, First Round NFL Draft pick, and current Baltimore Raven Patrick Queen.
While at LSU, Queen won the National Championship as a member of college football's greatest team ever assembled. He had an incredible career at LSU, getting time on the field as soon as his freshman year, as a true freshman. After he won then National Championship in his junior year, he declared for the NFL Draft. That's when the Ravens took him #28 overall.
Over his first three NFL seasons, Queen has over 320 tackles, 10 sacks, 3 interceptions, 28 tackles-for-loss, and a defensive touchdown. He's a three-year starter for the Ravens.
Next up LSU's Jaray Jenkins...
Jenkins was a member of the National Championship team after the 2019 season, like Queen as well. During his LSU career, Jenkins averaged over 15 yards per catch, and secured 14 touchdowns for the purple and gold.
Going into this years NFL Draft, Jenkins declared himself eligible for the NFL. He's projected as a late round pick, but some Draft Prognosticators believe some teams have a higher ranking on Jenkins than the consensus. Like we have to consider every year at draft time, it only takes one team to make you a high draft pick. If there's a team who love his potential as a possession receiver, he could hear his name called earlier than some project.
Jaray's appearance at the show is sponsored by T-Bubba's Sportstalk. Jaray will be live on 4/22 from 12:00pm-1:00pm at the Bossier Civic Center. You can request a free autograph ticket at the door (1 per person) compliments of T-Bubba's Sportstalk.
Finally, you can meet the #1 women's basketball recruit in the nation, and LSU commit, Mikaylah Williams at the show as well.
Mikayla is a senior guard for Parkway High School in Bossier. She has a picture perfect jump shot, focuses on team work, scoring and has a constant workout schedule.
She is the prized recruit of Kim Mulkey and the LSU Women's Basketball program. Yes, the team that just won the National Championship, and now they get the #1 recruit in the nation.
Autographs from Mikayla are being offered from 11:00am-12:00pm at the show on Saturday 4/22. Autographs are $10 per item, and she is donating her proceeds to Heart Works, a local non-profit basketball school.
This is a pretty incredible opportunity for sports fans in the Ark-La-Tex, and for a show this big to have free admission, you should really take advantage.
