Man Jailed For Molesting Juveniles Under The Age Of 13

A 2 month search for an accused child molester has come to an end. Wanted posters started making the round on social media asking for the whereabouts of 37 year old Jacob Martin due to charges of molesting a juvenile under the age of 13. Martin had apparently been evading the police since August

Investigators with the Shreveport Police Department’s Sex Crimes Unit have jailed a man in connection with the sexual assault of a child in west Shreveport.

In Early August, the Shreveport Police Department received a criminal complaint regarding the sexual assault of a child.  Investigators with the Shreveport Police Department’s Sex Crimes Unit launched an investigation into this complaint. After conducting interviews and gathering information related to this crime, Jacob Martin (06-29-1983) was arrested on August 13, 2020 and charged with Molestation of a Juvenile under 13.

On October 26, 2020, detectives received additional information regarding the sexual assault of another child. After concluding their investigation, detectives added an additional charge of Molestation of a Juvenile under age 13 to Martin. Martin is currently in Caddo Correctional Center.
