LSU's former Homecoming Queen, Mo Isom, is at tryouts again today in Death Valley. She isn't a stranger to competition. A former LSU soccer goalie, Isom once scored a 90 yard goal for the Tigers. Isom dreams of putting her kicking abilities to use for the LSU football team this year. This isn't her first time to try out.

This is Mo Isom's second attempt at making the LSU Football team as place kicker. Although she didn't secure a spot during Spring tryouts, she committed to training for Fall tryouts and her time to shine has arrived. No stranger to media attention, Mo Isom's dedication to faith along with the obstacles she has overcome in her personal life even made it into Sports Illustrated. If you aren't familiar with Mo's story, it is one of perseverance. She is definitely more than a pretty face. This is a strong young lady and a strong athlete. Yesterday was Mo Isom's first day of Fall football tryouts and her reports via twitter seemed hopeful:
