Louisiana’s Phil Robertson Speaks Out About Transgender Bathrooms

Duck Dynasty's Phil Robertson spoke out on the topic of transgender bathroom issues in an email to conservatives over the weekend.

While the email didn't directly mention House Bill 2 which was enacted in North Carolina, he was clearly in support of the measure. House Bill 2 says that in both school and government buildings males and females should use the bathrooms that coincide with the gender stated on their birth certificate.This issue recently hit headlines in earnest when Target stores announced their policy that shoppers and employees could 'use the restroom or fitting room facility that corresponds with their gender identity.'

So what did the patriarch of the Robinson family have to say on the subject? Here it is:

This is Phil Robertson from Duck Commander and I’ve got a radical idea. Men should use the men’s bathroom and women should use the women’s bathroom. Just because a man may ‘feel’ like a woman doesn’t mean he should be able to share a bathroom with my daughter, or yours. That used to be called common sense. Now it’s called bigoted.
