Tonight in Bossier: The Only Free Family Fireworks Show for New Year’s Eve

For those who enjoy the finest ooohs and aahhhs of a New Year's Eve Fireworks Show, again this year, you won't need to look any further than Louisiana Downs.

The fireworks show at Louisiana Downs has become famous over the years and this year promises more of the same.

Taking to their Facebook page, we find that Louisiana Downs will provide the area's only free family-friendly fireworks show for this New Year's Eve.

The event is set to begin tonight, Wednesday, December 31, inside the Louisiana Downs Pavilion at 9:00 pm when the group from Style Entertainment takes the stage and will entertain the crowd until shortly after midnight when the pyrotechnics take over.

As mentioned in their promotional video above, Louisiana Downs will have plenty of food and drinks available for purchase, so please don't attempt to bring in outside food or drinks.

All of the restaurants, except "Brew" will be open and ready to serve.  Brew will be closed while Louisiana Downs uses that space for the New Year's entertainment.

We're told that the fireworks show is large enough to light up the entire sky over the racetrack while families enjoy the show from the outdoor racing apron facing the racetrack or from the second-level grandstand inside the facility.

Of course, while everyone is certainly invited and encouraged to attend on the grounds of Louisiana Downs, it's really not to see a fireworks display of this magnitude, so many will be treated to the event all around Louisiana Downs, and if that's your plan, Happy New Year from Louisiana Downs.
