Manti Te'o Admits He Lied to the Media About His Dead Girlfriend . . . But "Only" for Six Weeks:

In MANTI TE'O'S interview with KATIE COURIC today, he admits to LYING to the media, but NOT about being involved in the hoax. He's saying that he DID realize that he was hosed after getting a call from the hoaxers in December, yet he continued to talk as if she was real in interviews leading up to the National Championship game.

And yet, after that he continued to talk about the dead girl Lennay Kekua in interviews . . . both when asked, and when NOT asked . . . leading up to the National Championship game. (--Although, he did dodge some questions about her, too.)

MANTI TE'O'S interview with KATIE COURIC airs on her show TODAY . . . but ABC showed a clip from it on "Good Morning America" yesterday.

Lindsay Actually Turned Down "Dancing With the Stars" Because Her People Don't Think She Can Handle Live TV:

We heard LINDSAY LOHAN turned down a $550,000 offer to do "Dancing With the Stars" because she thinks she's above reality TV. But according to a new report, her advisers turned it down because they don't think she can handle live television.

A source says, quote, "Lindsay has been a mess on movie sets lately. She doesn't show up on time, she keeps everyone waiting and so her team decided that there was no way that she could handle the pressure of a live show like 'Dancing With the Stars'."

Did Kris Jenner Beat Up Kim Kardashian When She Was a Kid?

Newly-released journals kept by ROBERT KARDASHIAN paint an unflattering picture of his former wife KRIS JENNER. In one entry, Robert writes that Kris beat up their daughter KIM, who would have been 9 or 10 at the time. In other entries, he talks about Kris leaving the family to have an affair. Kris's rep is denying all of this.

The widow of ROBERT KARDASHIAN released some of his journals to "In Touch Weekly" . . . and if what's in them is true, this could be a P.R. nightmare for KRIS JENNER.

Robert said, quote, "Kris was kicking and beating her and said she was going to kill [Kim]! Kim was hysterical."

In another entry, Robert wrote about how Kris would leave for DAYS to mess around with Todd Waterman . . . a guy she has since admitted to cheating on Robert with.

Kris's rep says, quote, "We have no knowledge of these diaries existing and these accusations are ridiculous and not true."

Robert and Kris were married from 1978 to 1990. He died of cancer in 2003

First Elmo, Now This: The Original Voice of Charlie Brown Has Been Arrested for Stalking:

PETER ROBBINS, the original voice of Charlie Brown, was arrested at a border crossing in San Diego Sunday after a background check revealed that he was wanted for stalking and making violent threats. Robbins was 9 when he was chosen to voice the character in the 1960s, in such specials as "A Charlie Brown Christmas" and "It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown". He's 56 now.

There's no word what he did, but the official charges against him are one count of stalking and four counts of making a threat to cause death or great bodily injury. All five are felonies.

Miranda Lambert Has Beyonce's Back on the Inaugural Lip-Sync Controversy:

Do you care if BEYONCÉ did or did not lip-sync "The Star Spangled Banner" at PRESIDENT OBAMA'S inauguration? MIRANDA LAMBERT sure doesn't. She said, quote, "I don't think it matters. It's Beyoncé, she can do whatever the hell she wants!"

Miranda was at an event yesterday sponsored by Pedigree dog food . . . when she started talking about her dream duet partners. She said, quote, "I would love to sing with KELLY CLARKSON if I ever get the guts . . . she's amazing. I sang with her onstage in Colorado and she was, I just wanted to crawl in a hole.

Taylor Swift had a very special guest over to lunch Saturday in Nashville:

Seventeen-year-old Kayla Kincannon has been battling brain cancer for the past year, and her friends and family have been working for the past month to get Kayla a meeting with her hero, Taylor Swift. That meeting finally happened last weekend as Taylor spent two hours with Kayla, gave her a gift basket and posed for photos.

Kayla’s father wrote about the visit on the teenager’s blog saying of Taylor, “She is the sweetest, most down to earth person I have ever met! This was more than we ever expected!”  Taylor even sent her tour bus to bring Kayla to lunch.

TIM MCGRAW Is keeping Busy in Vegas:

He will be taping an "all star" concert special on April 8th called "ACM Presents: Tim McGraw's Superstar Summer Night". According to his website, you can expect country, pop and rock performers . . . plus "special guests" from TV and the movies. It's going to air sometime later this year on CBS.
