The Shreveport Mudbugs Rip Into the 2024 NAHL Playoffs

The Shreveport Mudbugs are looking to add another championship banner to the rafter of the historic Hirsch Coliseum in Shreveport. That push starts this weekend in the second round of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) playoffs.

Game 1 against the El Paso Rhinos will be Friday night, puck drops at 7:11pm, and game 2 will be Saturday night (at the same start time). This is a best-of-5 series, or "first to three wins".

The Mudbugs have the #2 seed in the South Division, while El Paso has the #3 seed...so the Bugs will have home-ice advantage in this round. They could keep that advantage in the next round, if the top-seeded Lone Star Brahmas lose their series to the New Mexico Ice Wolves.

Tickets for both Friday and Saturday nights games are selling fast. You can buy them online here, and there may be some available at the door both nights.

These playoff shirts normally sell fast, so don't wait till the last minute on Friday or Saturday. Doors open for each game an hour before puck drops, so you can get into the Swamp Shack to secure your playoff shirts. Who knows, there might even be some specialty jerseys still available in the Swamp Shack.

If this series needs to go the full 5 games, the deciding game will be Monday, April 29th in Shreveport.
