What is so special about Trader Joe's?

Trader Joe's is a grocery store chain for folks that love food and trying new products. They always have new stuff on the shelves, especially seasonal goods. And you can try them risk-free because you can return the things you don't like for a refund. The stores are clean and colorful creating, dare I say it, a fun atmosphere, in a grocery store! Plus, you don't have to clip coupons or join a club to save. I absolutely loved shopping at Trader Joe's when I lived in Cincinnati!

Does Louisiana have any Trader Joe's locations?

Yes, there's a Trader Joe's in Baton Rouge at 3535 Perkins Road and another one in Metairie at 2949 Veterans Boulevard. If you get the chance, swing by one of those locations to experience all that is Trader Joe's. They call themselves a 'national chain of neighborhood grocery stores.' Trust me, they're not another Rouses or Brookshire's. It's very, very different. They place a lot of emphasis on the customer experience and featuring unique items.

What's the latest reason why I think we need Trader Joe's in Shreveport-Bossier City, LA?

Obviously, Trader Joe's rocks. But now they've started selling this really cool plant that EATS GNATS (and fruit flies) for only $6.99 so the bothersome little buggers don't fly around your fruit bowl. How awesome is that? And if you're like me, you haven't been able to get rid of the little beasts since the great power outage from the storm on June 16th. I went five nights without power and finally had to open my windows. I'm not proud, but it had to happen and now I want this gnat killer which just happens to be a mini pitcher plant. There are a ton of different kinds, but the one Trader Joe's is selling is the miniature version of the Sarracenia variety. I love you, Trader Joe's!
