The Shreveport Regional Jazz Ensemble (SRJE) and Shreveport Regional Arts Council are bringing back "Big Band Jazz,". People who have experienced "Big Band Jazz" say it is a captivating and fun night.

On October 27 Caddo Common Park will experience a dynamic jazz extravaganza. We can enjoy soulful melodies and infectious rhythms from the remarkable talents of the SRJE.

According to the Big Band Jazz in Caddo Common Park event page on Facebook "Founded in 1980 under the leadership of the esteemed Mr. Louis C. Wells, Sr., the Shreveport Regional Jazz Ensemble has been at the forefront of preserving and promoting the artistry of jazz. Comprised of eighteen skilled musicians and two gifted vocalists, the SRJE is known for their exceptional talent and remarkable performances. These accomplished musicians, with a collective experience of over 350 years, have positively impacted countless students and audiences throughout the ARK-LA-TEX region."

"Big Band Jazz" is made possible through the generous support of the Louisiana Project Grants, overseen by the Shreveport Regional Arts Council.

You don't need to buy tickets; all you need to do is show up at the Caddo Common Park with your blankets and chairs before 6:00 p.m. on Friday October 27th for an enchanting evening filled with the captivating sounds of big band jazz.
