Shreveport Police Seeking Suspect in Local Murder (UPDATE)
UPDATE: Webster has been apprehended.
Shreveport Police detectives have procured a warrant for a man believed responsible for the early May murder of Raymond Behan on Common Street in downtown Shreveport.
Summary: On May 7, 2023, just after 5:20 a.m., Shreveport Police patrol officers responded to reports of a shooting at 700 Common Street. Arriving officers located Behan, who was suffering from multiple gunshot injuries. Shreveport Fire Medics rendered aid but pronounced Behan deceased on the scene.
Investigators with the Violent Crimes and Crime Scene Units responded. Crime scene personnel gathered evidence while detectives interviewed witnesses and canvassed the area for video surveillance cameras.
After a week's long investigation detectives were able to piece together what they believed happened on that night and on January 27, 2023, they procured an arrest warrant charging Qunchavis Roshun Webster (11-18-1996) with one count each of Second-Degree Murder and Convicted Felon in Possession of a Firearm. No Bond has been set.
Authorities are asking for anyone with information relative to the whereabouts of Webster to contact Shreveport Police immediately at 318-673-7300. If it is an emergency, always dial 911. Webster is considered armed and dangerous. Citizens are asked not to approach Webster and to never put themselves in a dangerous position in an attempt to help capture him.
