Check Out the Best Indoor Tourist Attractions in Louisiana

As we close in on Labor Day weekend, you would think this heat would be moving out, but it's not. We are still going to have temps close to 100 degrees for a few more weeks.

If you are planning a little getaway for the long holiday weekend, you might want to visit one of Louisiana's great indoor museums or venues for a little family fun to wrap up the summer.

Louisiana has so many great tourist attractions from New Orleans to Shreveport. Many of them have an outdoor component with gardens or rides or historic districts. So I put together a list of some of my favorite indoor spots to get you out of the heat. But you will also get a lot of the flavor of Louisiana without melting.

This list does not include any of the beautiful plantation museums because all of them have an outdoor component that you should visit if you like to tour historic spots. Many of the spots on my list are in New Orleans. But Shreveport also has several great attractions on the list. If you haven't checked out these spots and want to get a little history or a getaway, you might wanna try out some of these spots.
