Houston Angler Videos Rare Pink Dolphins Off Louisiana Coast

A Houston man got the surprise of his life recently while fishing along the coast of Cameron when he saw two rare pink dolphins swimming beside his boat.

A pink dolphin has routinely made its way up to Lake Charles over the past few years earning the name Pinky. It makes you wonder if this is the same dolphin and if its making its way back to The Chuck.

Thurman Gustin said on his post that he saw two dolphins swimming together off the coast of Cameron in a video that's going viral on Facebook.

You can tell Thurman's excitement after seeing the dolphins swimming.  He quickly grabbed his phone and started to film.  Gustin would scan the water around his boat frantically to find the rare mammals.

KPLC reports they are most likely Amazon River Dolphins, which are from South America.

Pinky, the bottlenose dolphin seen in Lake Charles, according to wildlife experts is an albino dolphin not an Amazon River Dolphin.

Maybe Pinky told her cousins about how great the fish are in Lake Charles and how they can get their 15 minutes of fame. I guess will just have to wait and see if they hopefully make their way to SWLA.
