Huge Poker Tournament Coming to Bossier City’s Horseshoe Casino

The first ever Southern Poker Open will be played in the Riverdome, August 8-11, 2019. The Main Event is a $420 buy-in with a $200,000 guaranteed prize pool. Over the course of four days the Southern Poker Open will include $100 Buy-in Mega and Turbo satellites, five Main Event flights and a $160 Buy-in Tag Team Poker Tournament. With tournament entrants expected to be 800 plus, the Riverdome will be equipped with 28 tournament tables and include a Main Stage Final Table.

The Southern Poker Open will usher in a new age of gaming at Horseshoe Bossier City. It will be the first time a Poker Tournament has been played at Horseshoe on the landside of property as hundreds of poker enthusiasts, pros, and weekend warriors descend on the Riverdome for the event. 2013 was the last time a tournament of this caliber was played at Horseshoe when the World Series of Poker Circuit Tour stopped for an event held on the rooftop of the King of the Red. The Run Good Poker Series has hosted several successful events in the Poker Room, most recently in March when RGPS Showbound took over with a $100,000 guaranteed prize and a once-in-alifetime chance to play on Poker After Dark.
