Hannah Fayard Named This Weeks Caught in the Act Award Winner

She was the right woman, in the right place, at the right time, and because of it, now she's been caught in the act!

As we read Hannah Fayard's nomination letter, we knew that God had to have placed her in that spot, at that time, because she would immediately answer the call for help.

Hannah's mom, Cody Cryer, gave us the scoop on this incredible young lady, and her commitment to spring into action the minute she realized her efforts were needed.

And that's what made Hannah a perfect fit as this week's recipient of the Kiss Country Caught in the Act Award.

My daughter, Hannah, was celebrating her 27th birthday on June 11 with friends at the Horseshoe Casino pool when what started as a relaxing day quickly turned into an emergency. An elderly man became unresponsive in his lounge chair, and his wife and others nearby were yelling for help. Without hesitation, Hannah ran over and began chest compressions while her friends called 911 and grabbed water. Two men also stepped in to help carry him inside to cooler air. Together, they all did everything they could until emergency responders arrived. As her mom, I am incredibly proud of Hannah for stepping in, staying calm under pressure, and doing everything she could to help a complete stranger in a frightening situation. Hannah has always had a caring heart and has never been one to stand by when someone needs help. She has always been the kind of person who steps up for others, and this was no different. Seeing her put someone else's life ahead of her own birthday celebration makes me even more proud to call her my daughter. We continue to pray for that man and his family and hope he is doing well.
