How Cheap Is Gas Today in Shreveport Bossier?
As I was out an about over the weekend, there was a lot of talk about gas prices. And this time, it was not about how high the prices are. In fact, people were telling me where I could get great prices for gas.
A few people told me about gas for sale at Sam's Club for just $2.34 a gallon. I started paying attention to the prices and noticed prices are down considerably from a couple of weeks ago. As you might imagine, my gas light popped on and it was time for a fill up.
I pulled into the closest station along Youree Drive and paid $2.54 a gallon. That's the lowest price I paid since January 20, 2021 when gas was $1.90 in Shreveport. Prices have been climbing since then. The national average climbed to a record high of over $5.00 a gallon back in June, but prices have been falling since that date. In March, Louisiana set a new record as the statewide average for a gallon of regular gasoline was $4.04.
AAA reports the national average is now at $3.26 and the average in Louisiana is at $2.84.
